Stonetavern is World of Warcraft as it actually was — no rate changes, no
custom content, no shop, ever. The lantern is lit and the door is open. Pull
up a chair: the world is still dangerous, the road still long, and the people
at the next table remember it too.
We run this for the love of the game, free for everyone, by people who answer
to the players and not to a balance sheet. We'd rather stay small and honest
than grow loud and broken.

A museum, not a remix
Museum-grade, x1 blizzlike Vanilla. No transmog, no LFG tool, no Vanilla+, no
seasonal wipe. Only invisible bugfixes and a little quiet account comfort —
nothing that touches how the game plays. If you remember how it felt, that's
exactly how it still feels here.

Nothing here is for sale
No shop. No donations. No Patreon. No "supporter" tier. There is no money in
the system to begin with — so no one buys an advantage, and the failure modes
that quietly kill other private servers (donation scandals, a silent sale,
staff dealing gold) aren't just forbidden here. They're structurally
impossible.
Bots get nothing
Suspicious activity is watched around the clock, but a human makes every single
ban — no account is ever lost to an automatic decision. Ban-wave numbers and
every operational change are posted in the open, every month. Zero tolerance
for RMT, no exceptions, no quiet deals.

A fresh start — together
It's a fresh start, and we open the world at the pace a real server should.
Content unlocks on a slow, fair schedule from Molten Core onward, a new tier
every couple of months — earned, not handed out.

If Blizzard ever asks us to stop, we stop — the same day — and we'll do our
best to hand you your character file. We will never pretend to be forever.
