A server that's trying to become its own museum.
Most Minecraft servers don't preserve their history. Players remember legendary servers like 2b2t or Freedonia, but very few communities actively document their own lore instead of letting it disappear.
That's the idea behind Digital Renaissance.
Every event, even seemingly insignificant ones, becomes part of the server's history. The very first house that was ever griefed has already been recorded. Near spawn stands a small printing house where players publish an in-game newspaper. The first issue tells the story of the server's earliest days: the first major structure was a Capitol building that players jokingly called "ugly" because of its... unconventional architecture. In those first nights, newcomers gathered around piles of old cobblestone, hiding from rain and the monsters outside.
The newspaper sits in a dispenser for anyone to read, and every player can contribute to future editions.
The goal is simple: years from now, new players should be able to walk through the world and understand not only what was built, but why it exists.
